HEADLINES
- The Final Score has NOT died or gone away, we’re just taking a little break to re-tool and re-organize the show.
- Here is a synopsis of what’s going on, but please download this episode and listen to the full details. Now, the short version: When Nicole had Mateo about a month early, we took the time to ask ourselves if we wanted to continue the curent format of The Final Score. We really love doing the show, but we feel that we can make the show more unique and give it a voice of its own. We are taking some time over the holidays to chill and let things simmer while we discuss and figure out what new direction the show will take.
- In the meantime, Scott will pop in here and there to give a mini-review for a game that he’s been playing (and the first one’s below).
Mini-Review: Super Mario 3D Land
- An amazing gaming experience with a great soundtrack and fantastic graphics. Excellent use of 3D integration in gameplay with a great blend of 2D traditional platforming Mario. Listen on for the full review…

Glad to see the Show is not going anywhere. I was beginning to worry. Until you guys decide on what you want to do I will just continue listening to all the other great shows you provide. Thank you Frogpants for providing me with many hours of entertainment and helping me get through the work day.

Scott,
You commented on Mario 3D just a little too soon. You are not close to the end
When you beat the game it opens up a whole second game that is much more challenging and fun. I have a feeling it will blow your mind.

Hey, I love what you all do, and I hope you find a way to keep doing it in a way that works for your schedules and your business.
I understand you are trying to find a voice for the show, but I hope you don’t feel the need to go TOO far down that rabbit hole, because the voice of the show is YOU GUYS. That’s why I listen to you. That’s not me saying “Hey, do it the way I already like it!”, that’s me saying “I trust you to make the right creative decisions, and I look forward to hearing what you come up with!”
Keep up the great work!

My favorite part of the show has always been hearing the hosts’ experiences playing the latest games and giving anecdotes about those games. I always felt Old School was kind of a waste of air time (I never cared for LISTENING to someone play an old game.. not exactly stimulating listening), especially once it was expanded to 3-4 games per episode. I’d much rather hear something along the lines of the quirky “Guess what happened on Skyrim the other day” type stories that Scott does on TMS. Stick with what Frogpants does best. Good luck!

Glad to hear the show will stay! Though I’ve noticed I’ve spent less money on steam games since Nov.. hmm
Congrats Nicole, glad to hear you and the little one are doing well!
I’m excited to hear what direction you decide to take TFS, I really enjoy your takes on the news, new releases and what you’ve been playing so I hope that type of stuff stays but as long as I get to hear the three of you talk video games all will be well.
Happy Holidays!

As long as we get a show with Nicole, Brian and Scot; that’s all I want from this show. I think the network in general does keep the shows specific and to the point but the main draw from each individual show (I find) is just the different mix of personalities.

This episode exudes the charm of this show: Down to earth honesty from great people. Very few people would be this transparent about the state of their show. As much as I love things like Giant Bomb if they were having second thoughts about something they did, I don’t think they would tell anyone.
Scott, Brian, Nicole: I’m sure that whatever you do next with The Final Score it will be just as amazing as always and I’ll certainly be there to listen.
Game on!

Of all the Frog Pants shows, this one has been my favorite since the day it started (or rather, re-booted) a year or two ago.
So glad to hear it’s still going to be around, in some way or another.
Happy Holidays and have an awesome 2012!

I just wanted to say I think this show is really great.
I know pod casts takes resources and efforts to make, and even though I would be sad, I can understand if it got cancelled due to the little pay off compared to the effort.
Even though what happens, this has been my favorite podcast ever
Happy x-mas and happy new year!

Hated to hear how low the podcast numbers are. Its one of the few gaming podcasts I regularly listen to. I was wondering if I may be part of the problem. I used an Ipod or touch for many years. I am now using my Galaxy S 4G to listen to all my podcasts. Which means I no longer subscribe to them through itunes. My question is am I being counted as a listener even though I listen on an android device and dont subscribe to it through itunes?
PS. Please give Nichole and the new bundle of joy my best.
Tom
